On Tuesday April 13 each of you will have approximately five minutes to stand at the control panel in front of the class and say something intelligent, provocative, inspiring, shocking, and/or amazingly insightful about your artist installation. The installation should:
contain or link to background information about the artist and her/his art;
have some manifest principle of organization (or non-organization);
take some sort of critical stance (or non-stance) regarding the art;
develop a complex thought about that stance with respect to the culture and politics of life as we now live it (or don't live it);
involve some kind of viewer / user response to be completed by class time on Thursday, April 15;
This is not a drill. Attendance is Obligatory. You Will Be Graded.
